Natalie Edward was born August 30th, 1988 in Burlington, Ontario, but grew up in Mississauga, Ontario. The passion for music started early for Natalie, thanks to her parents who started her in piano lessons at the age of 3.
Natalie was first exposed to singing on a more competitive level in grade 6, where she auditioned for a girls' choir at her school. She began writing her own short songs on the piano, and started telling her family and friends that she would be a professional singer when she grew up. In her final year of elementary school, she auditioned for a high-school music program, and got in - graduating with an arts (music specific) diploma.
Upon graduating high-school, she decided to leave music education behind, and moved to British Columbia in 2006 to attend Simon Fraser University for Communication. Within months of the move, Natalie started attending open mics, and soon after, booked her first live shows at some local cafes. Later that year, she started working on her first ever EP project, and released "October" in 2007 - a 6 track EP of songs that were mostly written during her first year in University.
Currently, she is working on a new album project with a folk-roots focus, which does not yet have a release date.
